Culture of Safety
At Wesley Agape, our Culture of Safety is more than a policy—it is a promise rooted in our faith. Every person who enters our church, from children to elders, is created in the image of God and deserves to feel secure, respected, and valued (Genesis 1:27). In line with the Safe Church principles of the Uniting Church in Australia, we commit to creating and maintaining spaces where everyone is protected from harm. As followers of Christ, we are called to “defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed” (Psalm 82:3), and that begins with how we care for one another within our own walls.
We believe that true Christian community thrives where love, trust, and accountability are nurtured. That’s why we integrate safety into every aspect of church life—worship, ministry, fellowship, and outreach. We strive to “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8) by ensuring transparency and upholding the dignity of all. At Wesley Agape, we don’t just talk about safety—we live it. Because where there is safety, there is room for healing, growth, and the flourishing of faith.
